Rob Friedrich - president

Rob is currently Managing Director, Finance & Treasury for PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City, where he oversees the financial and treasury aspects of the firm’s global integration initiatives and other transactions. He previously served as Sr. Vice President, Business, Finance & Legal Affairs for the National Basketball Association, where he oversaw team and league finance, team ownership transfers, arena development, and other league transactions. Rob is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and The Cornell Law School.

Rob lives in Summit, New Jersey, and he and his wife, Kathryn, have been Camelback homeowners since 2010. Rob and Kathryn are avid skiers, although it is apparent that their sons, Louis and Curt, are better, faster and more talented. When reminded of this fact, Rob has been known to utter such pathetic responses as “Yeah, well, I’m still taller than you!”. Louis and Curt are avid members of the Ski Race Team, and Louis is a graduate of the Development Ski Team. Rob was elected President of PASEF in 2015 and is pleased to help lead a program that imparts so much joy, friendship, and pride to our athletes, coaches and families.

rick correia - treasurer

Rick Correia is currently Chief Operating Officer of Surveyor Capital at Citadel Investment Group in New York City.  In prior roles, Rick worked at Merrill Lynch as Chief Operating Officer of Global Alternative Investments, Director for Principal Strategic Investments and Director for Global Equities Trading.  

Rick and his wife, Sabrina grew up in Ontario, Canada and, fitting the stereotype, love to ski with their son Lucca and daughter Sienna.  They also like poutine and maple candy-coated Canadian bacon, eh!  Lucca and Sienna are passionate competitors on the Camelback Ski Race Team and look forward to winter weekends in Buck Hill Falls, PA and Camelback Mountain Resort.  Rick was elected as PASEF Treasurer in 2015 and is privileged to help sustain the PASEF legacy and develop the next generation of athletes.

baz preston - secretary

Baz Preston is a Managing Director at Cantor Fitzgerald Commercial Real Estate (CCRE) in New York City, where he is Head of Trading.  Baz grew up in the United Kingdom and graduated from The Queens University in Belfast.  He lives in Hoboken, New Jersey but also has a home in Buck Hill Falls, Pennsylvania.  

Baz is an outdoor enthusiast who has skied his entire life.  He spends the off-season fly fishing and hunting as much as possible.  All three of Baz’s children participate in the Alpine Ski Race Program: Lucy races for the U12 team and Penny & Jack both race for the U10 team (all are graduates of the Development Ski Team

Ed Jay - OPERAtions

Ed Jay is the Executive Vice President, Merchant Services - Americas at American Express in New York City responsible for the merchant business in Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and U.S. small merchants. Prior to this role, Ed held other executive positions at American Express, Thomson Reuters, ZEFER and Accenture.

Ed and his family love being active, exploring the outdoors and seeing the world. During the winter months, Ed and Sonia spend every weekend on the slopes with their three children, Abby, Tobey and Dylan who are all enthusiastic racers on the Camelback Ski Race Team.

Bill Greenberg - Past president and advisor

Bill Greenberg, Past President. Bill has dedicated his time to PASEF as a Board member
for the last four years and now serves in an advisory position to the current Board. He is a USSA
certified Alpine Official. He and his wife Marie continue to donate their time to PASEF. Their
children are both current members of the Race Program. This season Steve is a U19 and Aly is a
U14. Bill has been skiing at Camelback since the 1970's.

Professionally, Bill is a noted trial attorney in New Jersey. He has been recognized as one
of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in America by the National Association of Trial Lawyers and as
ranked in the top 1% litigators by the Trial Lawyers Board of Regents. In 2014, he obtained one
of the nation’s top 50 verdicts as reported in the National Law Journal. This year he was elected
to the New Jersey Law Journal Personal Injury Hall of Fame. Bill also donates his time to the
New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics and has served as Chairman of the District Ethics
Committee as well as Special Master to the Office of Attorney Ethics. He is currently a Master
Trial Attorney with the Brennan-Vanderbilt Inn of Court where he teaches trial techniques. He
received his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 1992.

Gus Picariello - Head Coach and Program Director

Gus is a retired professional educator and teacher with over 30 years of coaching experience at the high school and junior college levels, including 18 years as a summer ski camp director and coach. Gus is a graduate of the United States Ski Coaches National Academy, and holds both PSIA and USSA 300 Level Certifications. Gus was integral to the founding of the Camelback Alpine Team in 1991, and has served as its Head Coach and Program Director for the past 25 years.

Gus is a past member of the Eastern Ski Association Development Committee, Eastern Alpine Committee, and former State ACC Chair, and he continues to be active in the Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Association (PARA). He has also been active in coach’s education in the Eastern region, serving as a clinician and examiner. In addition to his ski credentials, Gus holds a Level 4 Technical Delegates License and is active in local high school and college officiating.
