Joe Amato

Joe has served as a Development Coach and Manager with PASEF since 2022, bringing decades of leadership and instructional excellence to the program. He is a Canadian Ski Instructor Alliance–certified coach and a PSIA Level III Instructor, with certifications dating back to the late 1970s. Joe previously served as Camelback Ski School Director for 20 years and has held multiple senior leadership roles, including Training Director and Private Lesson Manager. His experience also includes participation in Subaru Pro Races, serving as a NASTAR Pacesetter, and working as a HEAD ski product tester. Joe’s approach emphasizes technical precision, progression, and long-term athlete development. Outside of skiing, he enjoys tennis and golf.

Sean Gibson

Sean has been a Development Coach with PASEF since 2022, bringing more than two decades of experience in alpine instruction and youth athlete development. He is a USSS Level 100 Coach and holds PSIA Alpine Level II and PSIA Children’s Specialist II certifications, with over 20 years of membership in PSIA. Sean spent nearly two decades with the Camelback Ski School, where he developed a strong foundation in technical instruction and progression-based coaching. A long-time supporter of the race program, Sean’s two eldest children previously competed in PASEF, and his youngest is currently a U12 athlete. Outside of skiing, he works as a stockbroker specializing in algorithmic trading and real estate investment, and enjoys soccer and tennis.

Ian has served as a Development Coach and Manager with PASEF since 2022, bringing more than five decades of leadership and instructional excellence to the program. A PSIA Level III certified instructor since 1969, Ian has held numerous senior roles throughout the ski industry, including Training Director at Camelback, General Manager at Sharp Mountain, and Technical Director at Hahn Mountain. His international experience includes participation in PSIA International Academies in Val d’Isère and Chamonix, as well as coaching at Eric Lipton Ski Camps in Chile. Ian is also a recipient of the PSIA Masters Academy Award and is a USSS Alpine Coach Level 100. His approach emphasizes technical mastery, long-term athlete development, and mentorship across all levels of the program.

Ted has served as a Development Coach and Manager with PASEF since 2004, bringing decades of experience in alpine instruction and youth athlete development. He is a USSS Alpine Coach Level 100 and holds PSIA Level II certification, with long-term involvement in PSIA ProJam from 2002–2022. Ted has played a significant role in grassroots skiing through his work with the Shawnee Ski-Wee Program and the Camelback Youth Program, helping guide athletes through their earliest stages of development. His coaching approach emphasizes strong fundamentals, progression, and long-term success. Outside of skiing, Ted works in technical training and development for a major area refining company and enjoys scuba diving, sailing, road biking, and golf.
