Kevin started racing in the 2000s as a high schooler at Vernon Township High School. During his senior season he helped lead his team to a State Championship. He then went on to Misericordia University where he studied Sports Management as well as played Division 3 Lacrosse. During the winter breaks from college, Kevin worked on the Race Crew at Mountain Creek in New Jersey. After graduating with his Sports Management degree, he then pursued his M.B.A at MU. During that time, that’s when he came to the Camelback Ski Team. Since then Coach Malkin has coached and has been immersed into the program in almost every facet. In 2011, he began his career in education – coaching football, ski racing, and lacrosse. Coach Malkin passed his level 100 and 200 in 2011. Coach Malkin has been a PARA representative since 2019 as well on several other committees. In 2021, his team at Delbarton School won the New Jersey State Championship. This making him the first coach in New Jersey to win the State Championship as a player and coach. Coach Malkin resides in Hopatcong, New Jersey.
